photo journalism

I think photo journalism is how you use photography to tell a story, it can also be shown I videos. I believe that journalism is very powerful, it has the power to bring change to world. During the time of segregation and child labor there was a lot of journalist that brought these thing to light by remove the vale and exposing the wrong things in society. In school I am working on a film about how social networks and technology have a affect on relationships. social network like Face book, twitter also including Blackberry messaging. We will interview a teen couple and have then go with out any technology and social network communication for a day. this should give them the feeling of how relationships function back in the days.

TO BE HEARD

I really like the movie to be heard a lot it show how I'm not the only teen that go through things,i also like how they were able to empower them selves with the word poems they wrote. The amazing thing that stuck out to me in the movie is how they had such a strong friendship they were family; the way they love each other gave me goose bumps. The movie to be heard really inspired me to keep writing even though my writing different because it's christian rap i write not to empower my self but to give a message to others that there is a better way of living then living for money, power, and respect and that's a life with Christ;so i will keep writing

The Ninth Floor

In an apartment above Fifth Avenue, some thirty young people live in a vortex of drug addiction and despair. In The Ninth Floor, Jessica Dimmock enters this world, exploring, in human terms, what has been lost and what may be recovered. See the project at http://mediastorm.com/publication/the-ninth-floor

I watch a very realistic video of how life can be when you are in the grasp of drugs, not being able to let go of the thing that is killing you the most. The video, The Ninth Floor, has revealed the life style of a drug addict of New York City to me. We often like to talk and make fun of these people. However, this video showed me how real it can be and it's not a joke but actually very serious. The sounds in the video was sad and depressing, it brought out the mood of the video out. There were a lot of great photos to show the seriousness of the life style of a drug addict.
